I really enjoyed the beginning of this book which talks about many of the God's and where they live. Once Circe is on the island the plot really slows down. Its not that nothing happens once she gets there but it didn't really have the world building that the first part did. Circe herself went through a lot of personal growth during the book and I liked reading about it, but generally speaking it didn't feel like very much happened for the majority of the story.
