People we meet on vacation was such a fun and lighthearted read! I read it mostly while commuting so I felt like I was traveling with Poppy and Alex, which clearly entertained my, otherwise, very boring situation.
I fell in love with their relationship. Even though at times it felt a bit unrealistic on how they were able to travel to so many places and how nobody seemed to really work or be stressed about it, I liked how it mostly focused on their relationship and their trips. At the end of the day, nobody wants to read about the pile of work you still have to go through, we have enough of that already in the real world.
Anyways, highly recommend if you are looking for a light read that is gonna have you wanting to finish another chapter every single time. I loved how it alternated between their past summers and the real life. Have to be honest here, I mostly wanted to read the chapters that told the story of their present situation, but I still enjoyed the adventures they shared during their past vacations.
One thing I didn’t quite like was how at times Alex felt didn’t make sense as a character. I mean one second he was blushing because Poppy saw an inch of his sink, and on the other he was stripping naked and being this sexy confident person. At times it just seemed weird and out of character, but of course I still loved those scenes regardless hehe.
And with that I’ll give this beautiful book a 4/5 stars.
