This book was okay. The writing was an improvement from the first book so I appreciate that. There were times where I was bored tho, and I didn't really want to read, which is why this took me a bit longer to read than the first book (I still read it in a matter of says, but not as fast as the other ones).
I remembered a lot from watching season 2 and I also remembered thinking Belly should try and be with Jeremiah, since Conrad was so lost. BOY was I wrong, bcs season 3 made me realize it was indeed Conrad all along. It was always him, so I'M SORRY FOR NOT SEEING IT SOONER LOVE U CONNIE <3
Belly grew up a bit, still childish (which makes sense bcs she's literally still a teen), but I can tell the difference when she speaks up for herself more. Steven not being there didn't make a big difference for the book, and I couldn't stand Taylor in this book either. I feel like after reading this book, I can see more and more that the people who play the characters are doing a great job, especially Laurel. Perfectly cast! She embodies book Laurel very well. Also surprised to see that the Summer Love scene was in book 2, and not book 3
Almost threw up reading Jeremiah's POV. He's just so unlikeable, LORD. Also, I knew Adam as an a** but dayum, didn't know it was this bad.I cackled when he tried to sell the house and Laurel set him straight, GO LAUREL <3 I dislike him even more now lol. Bcs of him, Jeremiah is trying to measure up to Conrad, being in silent competition with him, and that spills over to wanting Belly as well.
I feel like Jeremiah just liked Belly bcs she's growing into a young adult, whereas Conrad seems to have always had a thing for Belly. Jeremiah might be fun and all smiles, but Conrad is real husband material. So let's see where book 3 goes.
