Ava Chen deserved so much better!!! I was more invested in the mystery behind her past than her romance with Alex. He is a billboard for red flags and I still have second hand embarrassment from his singing performance towards the end. Was that really necessary? I guess my problem with this book was that there was a lot of telling than showing when it comes to their relationship. Their romance went from they barely tolerated each other to they can't stop having sex real quick. And Ava just forgave him so quickly when Alex not only betrayed her but also her brother Josh. For me that was unforgivable. The Chen siblings were better off with him. I hope the next books are better.
