I was very excited to read the continuation of the Deathcaller Duet! This is a spicy, dark romantasy where a ruthless necromancer general meets his match in the fiery female who snuck into his army. I love the author’s messaging about female autonomy and empowerment, all told from the “dark” side of the war between Angels and Demons. At times, the battle descriptions were lacking, and there may be a few two many spicy scenes, but overall I enjoyed the read.
