The Devil and Mrs. Davenport by Paulette Kennedy

5.0

I loved this one! A little bit of spooky mixed with a wild family dynamic, religious dysfunction, and a woman simply trying to figure out who she is in the midst of it all in the misogynistic culture of the 1950s. I appreciated her struggles and her gifts. This is a story about the power of being listened to and to heal.. but also about some ghosts. ;) I truly enjoyed everything about this book, and loved the tidy ending. A favorite for the year for sure.
