Cryptic Ink and Deadly Hijinks by R.C. Barnes

Did not finish book.
I attempted to read a copy of this story that was included in the anthology [b:Call of Magic: A Limited Edition Collection of Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romances|56338689|Call of Magic A Limited Edition Collection of Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, and Paranormal Romances|Becca Blake|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1608390969l/56338689._SX50_.jpg|87775945] but had to quit in the middle. The following is a slight edit my original review there:

DNF at Ch 3 of 7 after the two high school teenagers Echo and Sam finally met. Sam worked at a motel with her 5 brothers due to her mother, and Echo was the niece of the motel's chef and temporarily moved to the area to escape a stalker. The setting included very juvenile bullying and assumptions, and this type of immature YA is not my cup of tea.
