I really enjoyed this book. Even though this book had some romance element to it, it definitely didn't feel like it. It was focused on how Keturah been through a lot and seeing her putting herself out there to make sure her and her sisters have the financial they need. At that time, women didn't own a sugar cane plantation and worked out in the fields. No matter the obstacles that came her way, she kept on going.
