Absolutely magical. That’s a cliche, but I don’t know how else to describe it. The prose is beautiful, the setting is charming and hazy, and the dialogue is nice and old-school. I felt like I was being told a bedtime story or a fairy tale, but by a storyteller who knows I’m no longer a child. I enjoyed that the antagonist was unorthodox as well. I can’t wait to read more.
