I'm possibly in the minority for this as it's so positively reviewed. It's an adorable book with a unique premise, in terms of modern romance novels at least. An apartment that sends you back in time, 7 years to be exact! Hijinks and romance to follow! And I did find that it had more heart than many other books in this genre. It deals with grief and loss, the confusion of growing up and fear of change. And I thought a lot of those topics were dealt with kindly. It was just the rest of the book that felt a bit hollow. It was an extreme case of 'insta-love'
(I'm so sorry, but a quick, countable-day long summer romance does not feel intense enough, regardless the circumstances, to warrant pining for seven years AND GETTING TATTOOED OVER. I just don't buy it, no matter how well he cooks.)
. The friendships and familial relationships felt too one note, all of the obstacles were seemingly overcome by a single action or decision and much of the strife was just a result of lack of communication. The constant descriptions of Iwan's eyes and hair were just about enough to send me over the edge though. But I guess nice ginger & gray-eyed representation?

It was fine, super easy to read and it was fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but pleasant enough!
