Well, this was certainly a spin of a tale. Quick read, with this creeping uneasiness that gets cranked up to 11 at the end. It has one of my favourite tropes, where horrific things are happening and some of the characters just view it as a normal occurrence. Never fails to just make me cringe in the best way.
Moderate: Cannibalism, Pregnancy, and Miscarriage
Minor: Animal death
