Blood & Brujas is a great fantasy novel with multiple love interests for Daya. I loved how Daya learned more about who she is throughout the novel. She may be one of my new favorite main characters. She is forced into an arranged marriage to save her kingdom of Brujas from a war that is killing them. It is a medium-paced book and there is more modern language used in the characters’ thoughts and dialogue. I personally enjoy this in my fantasy novels, and I think the author made it work really well.
