A History of the World in 12 Maps by Jerry Brotton

4.0

Very good! I've been reading a lot of map books lately (Mapheads and On the Map to name a couple) and this was a much more academic book. It was a slower read, but had some really good information and hit a good variety of maps, many that I hadn't read about before. Of course, it touches on the Hereford Mappamundi, Google Maps, etc., the usual ones that all these books talk about, but it got way more in depth than most. It was a slow, but very enjoyable read and I learned a lot!
