I'm just going to repeat what I said on the review of the previous book which is that this book is just as good as the second, which is just as good as the first one. This time we are in a ship sailing across the world, experiencing all sorts of different island cultures. It was fantastic, really original, particularly some of the aspects of the Keongans' culture. I also really enjoyed the brief inclusion of more aspiring scientists and the budding University Isabella is creating. It has a very light academia feel to it. As well her relationship with Jake and his development as well.

There's some new intriguing characters (if you've read this you'll know who I'm talking about) and the ending  again, was nail-biting, could-not-put-it-down kind of ending. Just epic. I'm reading the next one right away, I'm so glad I bought the entire series together, I couldn't bare to wait for the next one.
