The stories are thought-provoking, and I really enjoyed the different but complementary writing styles between each story. They build off of Janelle Monae's music and videos for Dirty Computer, but you don't necessarily need to have seen or heard them because the world-building is precise and cohesive. My only knock on this book is that the first story is the longest, and probably the slowest in pace, but I was hooked after the 15 pages.
