Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West
by Gregory Maguire
unfortunately this didn't do it for me, at all
even though the act of elphie with fiyero's family was necessary to show the bond between them, it did feel long and unnecessary sometimes which i think dragged the book a lot for me since there were too many scenes focused on it. the final chapters were good which is unfortunate cause the rest of the book just felt like a whole of... nothing
also the best and funniest character in this whole thing was definitely nana and i did find unfair how they killed her off so easily at the end, but i guess that's part of elphaba's character after becoming the wicked witch
