mara97 's review for:
The Apothecary Diaries, Volume 5
by Itsuki Nanao, Natsu Hyuuga
Another really fun volume. It wasn't necessarily gripping, partially due to the many small plots, but it doesn't make it any less interesting. Maomao is, once again, being a really fun character. She is very exciting and curious, and her love with weeds and poison is facanating without it being too annoying. We also meet a new gaggle of ladies, and I suspect that the 'plain' looking lady is also the guard/knight that has been tagging along with Maomao. I am still not entirely sure where the story is going, seeing as it is very slow going, but it is an overall delight to read. It's never a chore to read this series and despite saying I had little interesting in the light novel before, I am genuinly considering it once I catch up with the manga series. But I will see when 2025 comes around, seeing as I won't catch up anytime sooner.
