Hot Zone, Station 69 book 3, by Jacki James, wraps up this trio of daddy/boy, firefighter romances, and also the mystery that has run through the series as well. Aspects of the daddy/boy dynamic and the plot itself feel a bit lightly sketched rather than fully fleshed out. Unfortunately, that’s the trend in this series, with book one having been the strongest and this one the weakest. I wanted to get to the resolution of the mystery, but otherwise the book was unsatisfying. Note: a lot of different spiritual traditions are represented with dubious authenticity.
