This is a book I've read a few times - first as a high schooler and then as a 30yo woman. And yet, I barely remember the plot of it (and plots of the subsequent books in the series). What does stand out is the sheer fun of the details of what a spy school for girls entails (P&E stands for protection & enforcement, covert operations lessons, secret passages, etc.). Ally Carter does a great job writing from a teenage perspective and infusing the book with just the right amount of drama.
The books are fun, but the plots are forgettable. Come for the vibes, not for a particularly deep story that will stick with you.
