vaughanbyrne 's review for:
Prince Caspian
by C.S. Lewis
The nicest part about this book for me was the world building aspect, even though it was scarce, it was better than nothing and added just enough texture to the Narnian lore to keep me interested in reading on.
One thing I found particularly unappealing about this novel was the constant barrage of sexist tropes aimed at Susan and Lucy. While I understand that that was the type of posh children's speak of the era, it does get a little bit grating and whether those where his views or not, it does make you question the authors morals, but I'll wait until reading [The Screwtape Letters|8130077] before passing any judgement on that front.
Besides that, there's not a whole lot to say about this book that I haven't already mentioned in the reviews of the preceding books in [The Chronicles Of Narnia|11127]. They're easy reads with a little bit of Christian morality that keep things interesting.
