Out of the Wild Night by Marina Vivancos

4.5

The way Marina Vivancos writes such nuance in relationship, both healthy and harmful relationships, is so special. Oh sweet Mason. The beginning of the book that describes his relationship with his mom and her abusers, and then how he falls into the abusive relationship with Ben, it ripped my heart out. I feel like I’m a more empathetic person after reading this book. I loved how mason said something when he thought Roman was in an abusive relationship because he wished someone had said something to stand up for mason. The friendship between Roman and mason was very sweet, too. I appreciate that by only have mason’s pov,  we were allowed a lot of his insights and got to know him really well, but it was to the detriment of getting to know Charlie more
