First Jane Harper book and probably won’t be my last! The Dry was a well written and atmospheric mystery. The Australian small town in a drought setting was almost a character in itself. As much as I liked the book, it was a bit to gritty for me and I usually avoid books with children in peril and murdered. (This is not a spoiler since it happens immediately but I somehow missed in the brief skims of synopsis I did)
