If you think observing the Mormon faith through the lens of a horror novel, definitely jump on this. It's out on the 8th and I was really enjoying the prose. It makes rich use of simile and metaphor, and the characters are so uniquely fleshed out. The premise of what I felt boiled down to a haunted Mandela Effect was both intriguing and a bit on the nose sometimes. But when the rhymes and songs became clearly inspired by religious undercurrents and the commentary on Utah's Mormon culture, I lost interest.
