Beauty's Punishment by A.N. Roquelaure, Anne Rice
4.0
The Queen of Taboo does it again - and better, in my humble opinion.
As always, this book is intended for those who want to read about the extremes of kinks and to fully dive into a fantasy world where sex and debauchery run amuck. There are scenes that are meant to push your boundaries, and I don't personally mind being pushed out of my comfort zone in the world of fiction. If that is not for you, though, please re-evaluate before reading.
There was more creativity in this book - although there still is so much time spent on just spanking, which is a bit tiresome. The Village felt less repetitive than the Castle, and I can see why it might be more freeing for the slaves. But ah, yes, Beauty grows a backbone! We get more perspectives in this novel, including from men, which was a nice transition from the first book. As for the transition to the final book, I will take a wild guess and say there will be more spanking?
