The Turn of the Screw by Henry James

4.0

Not gonna lie, it took me a while to finish this novella because of the language. It didn't grasp me as much as I wanted it to do.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it overall. I definitely want to read more of James' horror short stories and novellas! There was so much to analyse, so many different ways to read the text. I genuinely loved the richness of it.

The language might've been a bit older, and the starting point might've taken a bit too much for my liking; but I definitely will recommend this novella to anyone that wants a horror-ey, gothic-ey, uncanny experience.
