these characters were the most insufferable people i have ever had to read about. it started with good traction, and then it just got so slow and boring. the actual love/romance aspect ended really early and it just became political drama and nonsense. i liked the romance while it was happening!! friends to lovers is adorable. but it just fell so flat for its potential. predictable plot twists that just annoyed me rather than anything else also brought me down.i was really hoping to love this book and ended up just trudging through it :/ to top it all off there was no satisfying ending, it leaves you on a cliff hanger, but i don’t have any intention of reading the second book, so i suppose i’ll never know what happens
