Death by Leprechaun: A Saint Patrick's Day Murder in Dublin by Jennifer S. Alderson
slow-paced
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
2.5
Wanderlust Tours is heading to Ireland over St. Patrick’s Day. Lana is leading a tour of a pretty diverse group of people, including her friends. But when a ‘local’ is found dead at the pub they were at, the group looks pretty suspicious, especially when it comes to light that most of the group had bad interactions with the victim. It’s up to Lana to prove them innocent.
It took almost half the book of background information and character-building to get to the mystery and action. Even after all that time spent on the characters, I still wasn’t very invested in them. The mystery itself was interesting yet seemed to not affect the characters. I should have DNFd, but I did enjoy the insight into Irish history and culture.
