ROMANTIC COMEDY became the first novel I read in 2024, I expected a lot because the novel appeared in the list of the best romances at GoodReads. So, why don't I pick this one?

(BLURB) A TV script writer thinks she's over romance, until an unlikely love interest upends all her assumptions: a humorous, sharp and tender novel from the bestselling author of Eligible, American Wife and Prep.

The novel belongs to everyone who loves the typical slow-burn of the story. The female character, Sally, and Noah the male character, had a more intensive intensived relationship in the second chapter. The first one mostly talked about the background of Sally's job. But, it was still included how Sally and Noah met. The first chapter mostly talked about the background of Sally's job. But, it was still included how Sally and Noah met. This is a kind of romantic-office-mates trope.

I didn't like Sally. She has a lot of character development. Instead, she always tried to become a sarcastic person. She was an adult. But, she acts like a girl in the 20-25 years. Instead of that, I love how the author builds up the character of Noah. A gentleman who confessed to Sally first. The one who tried to start everything. Surprisingly, Noah was interested in Sally before both of them met. It was cute.
The conflict is not complicated, but I still enjoy reading. In the end, I wish I had been Noah in my real life.
