My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry
by Fredrik Backman
I will admit I had a hard time getting into this book. At first the story line was confusing with the fairy-tell parallel, all the kingdoms and different names for things, left me more confused than I wanted to be. I was tempted to stop reading a few times, but I knew there was a great story hidden down deep that if I finished the book, I would discover. And there is...a story of life and grief. A story of a group of people of all different kinds learn to help each other with their heartaches and sorrows.
I would like to meet Granny, however I think I would have a love hate relationship with her just like Britt-Marie and Ulrika (Elsa's mom).
