Did not finish book. Stopped at 48%.

I hate that it was written in present tense, including the bits during ww2, the lack of quotes for speech or thoughts kept pulling me from the book as well. I jumped ahead and read in the middle for a few chapters but honestly I’ve read better ww2, this was not my cup of tea.
