I have this problem with Lauren Asher... I like half of her books. Not in a "most of her books are okay" way, I mean I usually like 50% of the book I am reading at the moment. I feel like she tends to be more superficial than I like.
In this case, this one started weak. The instalove doesn't do it for me, or at least not the blatant attraction sparks flying craziness.
Maya, I am sad to say, didn't do it for me either. I feel like she was thrown into the back for most of the book. There was no character growth on her part. She stayed mostly the same, I wanted her to find herself, research possible carreer paths, etc. But I feel like her journey was easy, she quickly adapted to the vlog part of the book, it was so... privileged of her. I was disappointed.
Noah, on the other hand, his growth was more notorious. I mean, total KUDOS to Asher for making the boy go to theraphy. I loved loved loved that. He really needed it, I enjoyed how he came out of his shell and grew as he let himself get into the relationship. I WANTED TO KILL HIS FATHER SO BAD. JESUS.
Santiago is a sweetheart.
And last but not least, as small as it was, I really liked the F1 part of the book. I am not usually a fan but somehow I can see myself tunning in from now on lol.
