4.75/5. this was an absolute delight to read. it would've packed more punch if it was a little shorter and faster paced but the writing was delectable at any rate so it wasn't much of a bother.
also, the second last chapter felt like an unnecessary break from the narrative & didn’t really add much to the story imo. the end of it was satisfying to read at best, i guess. her humanity was authentically portrayed much better in her dynamic with emma already.
