Stretched Too Thin: How Working Moms Can Lose the Guilt, Work Smarter, and Thrive by Jessica N. Turner

4.0

This book just really fits my season of life right now! This book is all about being a working mom with empathy, tips and ideas on how to make it easier. The intro talks about the concept of “mental load,” or the task of remembering all the things required to make a home and family work, and the examples listed were like a look inside my brain! This book is extremely practical, and although none of it is groundbreaking, it was nice to kind of see everything in one place. I think it would be an amazing companion to something like Powersheets, or any sort of goal-setting/value-selection process you may reflect on. I haven’t spent too much time on the questions at the end of each chapter, but I plan to when I start planning out my goals for 2019.
