For something with such high stakes I found the book could drag a little at times. Not majorly, but I think its just the effect of most of the book taking place in the same location, with the same people and the same threat. There were developments, yes, but still a lot stayed the same.
Overall an enjoyable thriller, but I found the characters and story less gripping than others I've read (including the Good Girl's Guide to Murder series by the same author).
