The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory by Brian Greene

4.0

I am victorious!!! which is to say, I read the whole thing (except the notes etc). for a book about string theory it was very easy to read, which is to say it took me at least 5 times longer than most books. I especially slowed down in the middle when he's actually describing string theory.
the quote that describes the whole book from p 285: But don't worry. The really hard work has already been done by string theorists and we will content ourselves here with explaining their results.
I wanted more and have no doubt that it's already out of date but it was great.
