The Boys Omnibus Vol. 2 Tpb by Garth Ennis

3.0

1) This book is insane and definitely pushes the limits of good taste. I enjoy that.

2) The over-arching plot gets a lot deeper and more detailed in this volume and you can see that there's a lot more going on here than just subverting the superhero genre. I love watching a great plot unfold, and this title definitely has a lot more intriguing story to tell.

3) I'm wondering if anyone has done a comparison between this book and Tarantino's films to see who overuses the N-word the most? Because it stops being shocking after a while and just makes it seem like it's being used for that edge-factor. It actually started taking me out of the story a bit and hurt my enjoyment overall. I don't mind the word if it's used properly and with a reasonable purpose that fits the story, but overkill is overkill and Ennis definitely went overkill with it in this book.
