Animal Farm by George Orwell

This has been on the list for a loooooong time! I wouldn’t say it’s predictable but it’s exactly what I expected in terms of how I felt afterwards: Shook. I didn’t know what was gonna happen but I knew that it would make me think about the world differently and it delivered!

Even though this was written to critique socialism and Russia. The political parallels are TIMELESS. I mean it’s about the trust we put in our politicians and how easy it is to miss corruption when it’s gradual. So unfortunately I feel like it will always be relevant.

At first I thought it was a cautionary tale when really it was a reflection of events that have already occurred but I didn’t realize it. And now I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FEEL
