Firstly I got this book from the author for an honest review. I've read quite a few vampire books over the years, a lot are very similar to each other but this one wasn't.
The main characters of Kali and Zane were written well and I got to like them. I loved that it didn't follow the usual vampire line but the author did her own thing, that makes a big difference to whether or not I'll follow a series (this one I will). I'm glad the romance part of it wasn't all soppy and that you got to know the characters as separate people. I also loved the fact that Kali wasn't a stunning "oh the man can save me" character but was willing to stand up and be in the partnership. Definitely different and well worth a read.
