Let me start by saying that I picked this book up randomly because it looked nice, and I hadn't read any H.P Lovecraft before.
OH BOY WHAT A RIDE
Imagine the story of Shackleton and Scott et al. on their antarctic exploration, combined with some alien-like horrors, and Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
It's a short read, it's got a great setting, and it's very creative in my opinion.
