If He Had Been with Me by Laura Nowlin
4.0

Even though the beginning of the book tells you how it's going to end, there was a part of me wishing the whole time that this was one of those books where the main character gets the chance to change the end.
And then she didn't. The last few chapters came around and I cried; I tried not to since it's sad sad as most other books out there but this one's a little too close to home. So I cried, wished Laura had turned this into a second chance book and wished Autumn didn't have to feel that type of grief.
As for an actually review that doesn't hold so much emotion: Felt it was a little slow in the beginning, and at some points in their high school journey. Great book though, but at times I wondered exactly where the story was going or how much more we could learn before the punch. Wondered if we would get to the event earlier so we could see the repercussions of after? But I enjoyed the ending.
