I listened to the free Librivox version of this on Spotify (although I do have an annotated ebook version that I'll go back and read to add my own inflections). I think it could be a very engaging story if the audiobook had been done well, but the narrator barely differentiated between the voices, and always kept the same pretty much flat tone throughout, so it really didn't convey the passion that I think is hidden in J. Sheridan Le Fanu's words, which was a shame.
