The first time I read this book, I didn't get into it right away. I blame this on the Waldenbooks who compelled all the staff to read the first chapter (I don't like to be told what to read). I ended up getting a copy of the audio version read by Jim Dale and I LOVED it! I ended up reading the entire series and listening to the audios, as well.
I have now read and listened to this entire series multiple times. These are my favorite books of all time. Each one is better than the last. The first one is pretty good but the second is better, and so forth. I definitely recommend them. If you don't get into them right away, I would suggest trying the audio versions, which are fantastic!
