REVIEW:

Another crazy fun ride with these adorable psychos. Definitely dark with all the same triggers as the last book including, but not limited to: brutal murder, torture, prostitution, mentions of child trafficking (not depicted on page), blood play, knife play, cheating with om/ow, and so on. Pretty much stay away if you have any triggers at all. Personally I love these kind of crazy fucked up books!

I’m still loving these. Love Selene’s crazy arse. She’s such a fucking badass!

The only thing I didn’t like about her in this one is seeing her have sex with (and enjoying sex with) other people. Most of them were for her work since she’s a prostitute, but I kind of hoped she would stick to only pursuing guys who were relevant to her rescue mission. So I didn’t love when she had “normal” clients who she enjoyed the sex with. Blech.

She also starts to have an emotional and physical attraction to one of the other female prostitutes that works in the area. Again, didn’t love this. This almost felt more like cheating on the guys than any of the other stuff since emotions were involved.

I still love all the guys too and I was so happy that they all got more page time in this one, with the POVs being more evenly dispersed. I also loved that we got more background on both Blaze and Santos.

I did not love Blaze letting the woman who Selene was having a relationship with suck his cock. I don’t really know why he did this, except that maybe it was because he felt betrayed by Selene being with her in the first place. But he’s not telling Selene and it feels wrong. I hope he comes clean about that.

Other than the cheating and kinda-cheating, I also hated that she was separated from the guys for more than half of the book. Blaze is stalking her while she’s in Nevada so he’s there (but she doesn’t know it) and we get the guys’ POVs too, so that helped ease the blow of them all being apart. But it was still hard to see them apart for most of the book. Once they were all reunited I liked the book better, but this (along with the cheating) brought it down a star for me.

I still love the story. I loved all the twists at the end (with her sister reveal and Santos’ long lost dad). Love the characters, the sex is super hot, love Santos and Darius together, and so on. Most of it I love! I just hope they aren’t separated for too long in the next one. The cliffhanger ending indicates they will be for at least the beginning, but they better reunite quickly!

Overall I’m loving the series still and would recommend it for those who like dark psychos in love romances and who have no triggers.
