Shades of Magic Vol. 1: The Steel Prince by V.E. Schwab

3.5

I feel like V E Schwab doesn't translate great into the wonderous world of graphic novels, it's really missing the edge that her novels have unfortunately.
Still, an enjoyable read which gave me some insight into Maxim's life before the events of A Darker Shade of Magic and into how Red London, and their use of magic, looks visually.

2024 reread
I bought the box set of these comics because I saw them in a store for cheap, and I am finally getting around to reading them all. This was fun, it's cool to see the set up of why exactly Maxim is so eager for Antari, and it's cool to see the different powers and abilities people have visually.
