J is for Judgment by Sue Grafton

2.0

About one-quarter of the book was unneeded and should have been cut. It had nothing to do with the plot and did not advance any of the characters, particularly Kinsey. Sue Grafton is starting to drift away from her plot more and more with superfluous descriptions and actions. It comes across as padding that just undermines the tension she had been building and that all mysteries must have. Why is she wandering off course so much? I'm hesitant to continue with the series.
