The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

challenging dark emotional inspiring reflective fast-paced

5.0

The Woman In Me is Britney Spears’ personal autobiographical memoir where she shared many deep wounds. From a family with an abundance of traumas passed through Inter-generationally which later appeared to feed into the famous 13 year conservatorship that Spears was forced under. Spears is raw and honest throughout her story. She has suffered great traumas and it’s incredible how she’s managed throughout it all. Before you think to judge Spears again, I suggest reading this book and suddenly every thing she’s ever done makes perfect sense. I hope from here on out, after sharing her side, Spears gets to live the fulfilling life she’s been previously been denied. And I’m now more than ever looking forward to seeing her dances pop up on my Instagram feed.

Beware Spears does not hold out on sharing traumas and look into trigger warnings as needed. :)
