The Lies of Locke Lamora
by Scott Lynch
adventurous
funny
tense
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
Yes
Loveable characters:
Yes
Diverse cast of characters:
No
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Complicated
The fact that few are talking about the copyi- ahem, ~parallel thinking~ between this and Six of Crows...yikes. I kind of wish I was still living in blissful ignorance. Because while I think Six of Crows is better book, I also think Scott Lynch could have a pretty strong copyright infringement case.
Anyway, though not perfect by any means, this was very good and I'm going to read the rest of the series. Scott better not do my boy Jean dirty. He's already committed various crimes against various characters in the latter third of this book (I don't wanna talk about it!!!!), so he's on thin ice.
