Tell Me the Dream Again: Reflections on Family, Ethnicity, and the Sacred Work of Belonging by Tasha Jun

emotional hopeful reflective medium-paced

5.0

Written with tenderness and care, Tasha Jun’s memoir mirrors this ache in me like very few writers have before. Jun expertly weaves together her faith and the story of her life, as well as her family members’ lives, in a way that is earnest without being corny or preachy. I cried while listening to the audiobook and felt so deeply validated when she talked about her wariness of being fetishized when she was dating. This is definitely a book I’ll hold close to my heart for many years.
