im an official made simp. i finished two books in the series in 5 days im on a fucking roll.
this book was kinda emotional. it was more of a rollercoaster than the first book. like the first book put me more on edge at all times whereas this one had me go through a whole lot of emotions before fixating on one
first of all absolutely loved christain. hats off one of the best leads ive ever encountered. christain was molested so many times as a kid and had so many disorders and mental health issues throughout the years and coped with everything in his life without ever using it as an excuse against other people. gianna on the other hand was so broken throughout her life she needed someone like christain to give her his absolute attention at all times and protect her like she was some wilted rose. i loved how they coped with all their issues and traumas with each other and i loved how much christain opened up about his life towards gianna even tho he hates talking about it and pretends that part of his life doesnt exist entirely. christain might be overly obsessed with gianna but he knows her limits and always worked in favor of it.
i loved gianna sm and her banter with christain was so good id miss them sm. gianna is such a cool person id love to be her friend ugh. gianna is the type of person who is so aloof everyone gets shocked when they say i have a strict household and curfew and everyone goes no ur joking yk nothing about strict. i love how she didnt let people get into her personal space even tho she was dying from all her traumas. she might be clumsy and made a lot of mistakes but she owned up for all of them like the fucking queen she is and i love her for overcoming all of that.
nevertheless read this if u wanna feel single af
ps - the amount of russian in this book and the urge to know what every word meant was so high i swear. this is hands down my most favorite book as of now
