I appreciated the setting in the mountains of Colorado, as it plays a significant role in the story. Camden and Willow’s history unfolds as their present comes into sharper focus. There’s a lot of heartache throughout the story, a lot of loss to contend with. I would say that it didn’t feel as compelling as other stories with these elements—not as realistic or deeply emotional.
Overall, this is a predictable contemporary romance novel with common plot points and an obvious outcome, but still fun to read.

Moderate: Death, Dementia, Death of parent
Minor: Violence, Fire/Fire injury, Injury/Injury detail
